  Datang NXP The DNB1101 is a single cell supervisor (Linx) IC that provides electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) for each individual cell or a group of cells in parallel. The integrated die temperature sensors can be used for cell temperature measurement. Additional thermo-couples/NTCs are no longer required. The DNB1101 measures the cell impedance based on a patented circuit technology, enabling a new approach of indicating the internal cell temperature. It also enables on-line state-of-health estimation, in combination with algorithms running on the pack controller. The IC integrates separate (redundant) ADCs for both voltage and temperature measurement. With a differential daisy chain, the cell measurement information is transmitted to the pack controller. The first IC in the chain translates a standard SPI signal to the daisy chain differential signal.

  Datang NXP Semicorductors Battery management chip DNB1101A. Designed for industrial energy storage applications, the chip integrates a variety of battery parameter monitoring to provide in-depth information on the internal status of the battery to the battery management system, bringing ultimate battery safety, performance and value. The DNB1101A provides a variety of sensing functions for each individual cell or a group of cells in parallel, including voltage monitoring, temperature monitoring, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) monitoring. Through a differential Daisy chain, the battery parameter information is transmitted to the battery pack controller. The first chip in the chain converts a standard SPI signal into a Daisy chain differential signal, and vice versa. The chip supports ring communication architecture.  The temperature sensor integrated on the DNB1101A can be used for cell temperature measurement. This eliminates the need for external thermistors and their peripherals, which helps optimize the system BOM, and each logic cell has temperature monitoring coverage, which helps achieve better temperature consistency within the battery pack.  The DNB1101A is based on patented circuit technology that enables in-line measurement of battery electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) over a wide frequency range. The EIS data of the battery can be further converted into in-depth information about the internal state of the battery, such as the risk of overheating, the degree of lithium analysis, the degree of aging, etc. DNB1101A integrates the EIS function on the chip to achieve online EIS monitoring, providing a new dimension of information for the battery system, and a great enabling battery management system to achieve battery safety prediction, thermal runaway warning, aging state measurement and other applications, bringing the ultimate battery safety, performance and value.  DNB1101A provides two balancing modes: internal balancing and external balancing. External balancing and EIS monitoring share a set of peripheral circuits, while internal balancing does not require peripheral circuits. The DNB1101A integrates rich diagnostic functions to support battery overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, low temperature alarms, as well as chip-related abnormal alarms.
